New SAP Fiori app for maintaining consolidation group master data

With the introduction of the new SAP Fiori app “Define consolidation groups” (F7959), the process of defining and maintaining consolidation group master data is significantly simplified. This new app replaces the outdated WebGUI-based SAP Fiori apps “Consolidation groups - create and change” (CX1P) and “Consolidation groups - display” (CX1R) and offers a more user-friendly and consistent interface.

Integration and Innovations

Replacement of the old WebGUI apps

The new developments mark the end of the WebGUI-based SAP Fiori apps CX1P and CX1R. The introduction of F7959 brings a modern and more intuitive user interface that has been specifically developed for the needs of consolidation in companies. This improves the user experience and ensures more efficient master data maintenance.

Consolidation groups as master data type in existing
App

In addition to the new app, the consolidation group will be integrated as a master data type into the existing SAP Fiori app “Import consolidation master data” (F3924). This enables the seamless import of consolidation group master data, which significantly speeds up and simplifies the overall process.

API for managing consolidation groups

Another significant innovation is the introduction of an API that allows you to create, read, update and delete consolidation group master data. This API increases flexibility and enables deeper integration into existing systems and processes.

Usage check for consolidation groups

To ensure that no consolidation groups are deleted that are in active use, a usage check has been implemented. This feature helps to avoid errors and ensure data integrity by preventing important master data from being accidentally removed.

Benefits of the new SAP Fiori app

Improved consistency and usability

By replacing the old WebGUI-based apps, the new Fiori app offers a clearly structured and easy-to-use interface. This modernization helps increase efficiency and makes it easier for users to maintain master data faster and easier.

Increased efficiency through import and
export functions

Support for importing and exporting consolidation group master data, especially in conjunction with integration with Import Consolidation Master Data, significantly improves workflows. Users can manage data more efficiently and quickly transfer it between different systems when needed.

Increased flexibility through API support

The introduction of the API opens up new opportunities for companies to automate their consolidation processes and integrate them into existing applications. This flexibility enables seamless adaptation to individual business requirements.
